About

Smart Kid General Knowledge Olympiad

The SilverZone Foundation's Smart Kid General Knowledge Olympiad (SKGKO) is an exceptional platform for students to demonstrate their knowledge in various fields such as History, Geography, General Science, Current Affairs, and Sports. The olympiad is conducted annually at both national and international levels, and it offers an excellent opportunity for students to showcase their skills and abilities on a broader platform.

The SKGKO is an innovative approach to assessing a student's personal and academic progress. By encouraging students to participate, the olympiad ensures that they develop a deep understanding of the world around them. Through this competition, students learn to think critically, analyze information, and apply their knowledge to real-world situations. This leads to a well-rounded and informed individual who is equipped to face various challenges that they might encounter.

The SKGKO is open to students in Classes I to X who are enrolled in CBSE, ICSE, ICBSE, or any other recognized state board in India. The questions are designed to challenge the students and require them to think outside the box. It helps students to develop better cognitive abilities and problem-solving skills and enhances their overall academic performance.

Overall, the Smart Kid General Knowledge Olympiad is an excellent platform for students to showcase their knowledge and learning in various disciplines. It encourages them to develop a thirst for knowledge and an enthusiasm for learning that can help them in their future academic and personal pursuits.

Raw Score Calculation

The raw score is computed by multiplying each correct answer by its corresponding base marks and summing the results. In mathematical terms: Raw Score = SUM (correct answer × subsequent base Marks).

Total Marks Calculation

Total Marks are determined by adding the raw score to the sum of the weightage of correct answers. Each question carries an additional weightage, starting from .0001 and increasing incrementally (.0002, .0003, and so forth). For instance, Question No. 1 has a weightage of .0001, Question No. 2 has .0002, and so on. This weightage is utilized to resolve ties when calculating Class/Zonal/Olympiads ranks.

Olympiad Rank

This encompasses all students from India and abroad belonging to the same class.

Class Rank

This encompasses all students from various sections/divisions of the same class within the same school.
